"Only You Can Save Yourself": the trend where you pull yourself off a cliff

The scene

High angle: a black basalt cliff over a storm sea. You are hanging at the very lip, fingers dug into wet rock, and a wave slams into the cliff and covers you in spray. From above, an open hand in a black coat sleeve reaches down into frame.

Reverse low angle, and it is clear whose hand it is. Yours. The same person, only dry, in a long black trench coat, standing on the edge in the wind. The hands lock, one pull: a knee on the ledge, then a foot, and the two of you stand at the top holding on to each other until the clip ends.

One person, two roles, fifteen seconds. The original reel went viral with the caption "Only you can save yourself", and the scene says exactly that.

Two cards

The trend comes in two versions: the female card "Only You Can Save Yourself" and the male card. The story is the same; only the clothes of the one hanging on the rock differ: a soaked pale dress or a grey T-shirt. The rescuer wears a black coat in both.

The drop

Where does the hairstyle come from?

From your photos — colour, length and styling are not set by the template. Same for the face and age, so both characters are drawn from you.

What is the difference between the two qualities?

Standard is 480p, cheaper, good for checking the result. Excellent is 720p, for publishing. The difference shows in the high-angle shot, where the figure on the rock is small.

Can I do it with a second person?

No, by design both characters are the same person. There are separate templates for two people.
